Server Rules RO2/RS

Post by VALOUR » Sun Sep 27, 2015 1:39 pm

For the enjoyment of all players, here are the server rules for the Red Orchestra/Rising Storm Servers.

1. No hacking/cheating by any means at any time (pretty obvious)
2. No text chat or voice chat spamming (This includes music or other stupid noise)
3. No abuse of other players or Admins (Some standard flaming ok, when it extends beyond that, action may be taken)
4. Admin directions must be followed (Simple)
5. HACKusations (accusing a legit player of being a hacker). Nothing says "I'm a whiney little bitch" better than accusing good players of being hackers. It's immature, stupid and makes you look dumb. Don't do it. If you have a LEGITIMATE belief that someone is hacking REPORT IT to your Flatmates! We'll take care of it.
6. Intentional team killing (It's just lame, don't do it).
7. Blatant ass hattery - that anyone finds offensive - may result in a ban.
8. If playing with a mate, and they get removed for breaking a server rule, don't start a flame war with the admin. If you (or your mate) believes the admin action is unreasonable, they can report it via the forums. The server is not the place for an argument about it.

If rules are broken, warnings will be given, if they are ignored a temporary ban will be placed. If the behaviour is clearly malicious and intentional and disrupts the game to a serious degree, there may not be a warning.

The rules are common sense, and it would appear, there are only very rare instances where rules need to be enforced, however all players on the Skanky servers should be aware of them.

Please report any problem players or behaviours to FlakSabbath or me.

With player numbers steadily increasing in peak times, (which is great) there have been a few instances of pretty serious abuse going on over voice chat. Please refrain from abusing other players, it's just not called for. If you engage in this immature and stupid behaviour, expect a prompt warning. If you continue, expect a session ban. If you return in the next map and continue, expect that ban to be a little longer.

There have also been a few accusations of hacking happening. There are some really good players out there, and just because they are giving you a spanking, doesn't mean they are cheating. So, unless you have some really strong evidence (screenshots or video) then don't bother making cheating accusations. If you DO have evidence, and you'd like us to review it, please send it to us and we'll investigate and we'll determine the appropriate course of action.

Here's another important tip for players.

If your mate is a douche, and he get's removed, either by kick, temp or perm ban, do not take it upon yourself to make long winded appeals to the admin on the server and disrupt everyone else. You might find you have to join your mate!

By all means, appeal a ban if placed (we have very few bans in place), but do it the right way, not on the public servers.
